Doha. September 24, 2013: Shaikh Mohamed A. J. Althani, Qatar's former Minister of Economy and Commerce, officially launched his latest book, Jassim the Leader: Founder of Qatar, at a special event in Doha. "Jassim the Leader, Founder of Qatar", Althani's second book, tells the story of the extraordinary life of Jassim bin Muhammad Bin Thani, widely referred to as "The Leader" of Qatar.
This high-profile launch, His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari, Qatar�s Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, dignitaries, VIPs and local media, included a reading by Shaikh Mohamed and an interactive question and answer session about the origins of his book.
The launch of Jassim the Leader, Founder of Qatar follows a year after the successful launch of Althani's first book, The Arab Spring & The Gulf States: Time to Embrace Change, which analyses the important domestic areas of demography, security, provision of food and water.

The publishing house "Profile Books" issued recently an important book entitled �The Arab Spring and the Gulf States: Time to Embrace Change� of the writer Sheikh Mohamed Bin Ahmed Bin Jassim Al Thani.
Speaking to Gulf News from Doha, Qatari Shaikh Mohammad Ahmad Jasem Al Thani, in his late 40s, explained that while the states need to take measures to activate the civil society's institution and further motivate the private sector, the citizens of the region have also a role to play; they need to change their perception to the role of the state.
His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed Jassim Al Thani was Minister of Qatar's Economy and Commerce from December 2003 to March 2006.
